Babies are only little for a fleeting moment, and those gorgeous sleepy wrinkly faces will be gone before you know it. Newborn photoshoots are a fantastic way of freezing such a special and life-changing moment in time. Photographs can be given as gifts to friends and family, used for thank-you notes for all those baby gifts, and will be fondly looked at many times over the years as your little newborn grows up into the amazing person they will become!

As an expectant parent, you might be wary of committing to a photoshoot when your baby is so small - ideally newborn shoots take place within 14 days of birth - and getting out of the house with tiny kids is never easy. But there's no need to leave the house with a newborn shoot from Life is not Average; I will come to you! Your newborn photoshoot will take place in the comfort of your own home.

The most important thing about your photoshoot is that you and your baby are as relaxed as possible. Newborn shoots get an extra hour on top of my normal family photoshoot packages so you can feed and change your baby whenever you need, as well as allowing time for the baby to fall asleep and for any posing. Every moment with your baby is precious and your photoshoot should be an enjoyable experience.

The whole family are welcome at a newborn shoot as we know you might like to get some photos of baby with any older siblings, as well as mum and dad. Or if you like, we can spend the whole time focussed only on the new arrival. I'm more than happy to chat about what sort of photos you would like and who you might like to be present on the day.
